' Called to Order: Meeting was called to order by Chairman Theroux at 6:115pm in the auditorium at
the Roberta G. Doering School, 68 Main Street, Agawam.
AGENDA
1. TR-2017-2 - A Resolution requesting the Agawam State Legislative Delegation file

legislation amending M.G.L. Chapter 44B (Councilor Theroux)

Discussion took place regarding this item. The thought was that CPA had done many worthwhile projects
in town and this item is not trying to change or hurt the CPA. The intent was for the state legislature to
' amend the CPA to allow for towns to use a percentage of CPA funds to maintain the same projects
initiated by CPA. These projects create extra expenses in maintenance for the town. The maintenance
goes on to the taxpayers.
Motion to send a positive recommendation to the Full Council was moved and seconded. The vote was 5
YES, 0 NO.
2. Discussion of upcoming legislation.
Discussion was had regarding an Ordinance to increase departmental fees which is being worked on by
the Law Department.
t3. Any other business that may legally come before the Committee.
4. Adjournment: Motion to adjourn moved and seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 6:30pm.
