WHEREAS, The Agawam Economic Development and Industrial
Corporation has requested Council approval of the 'Mission Statement and
Immediate Goals" which the Corporation has developed , copy attached
hereto as Exhibit A; and,
WHEREAS, It is in the best interest of the citizens of Agawam to
require said statement and goals.
THEREFORE, The Council hereby votes to approve the "Mission
Statement and Immediate Goals" of the Agawam Economic Development
' and Industrial Corporation.

To assume the leadership role in the encourage-
ment and promotion of industrial and economic
development in the Town of Agawam in a manner
consistent kith the overall character of the
community.
We hope to accomplish this by assisting existing businesses in their
expansion and growth while also attracting new businesses and industries
that will enhance the overall economic health and well being of the Town.
