.005 WHEREAS The Town of Agawam is in the triennial recertification

007 - WHEREAS, The Town may request recertkification of the values
008 assessed to all City of Springfiela Water Department property;
009 NOW, THEREFORE, The Town Council of the Town of Agawam hereby
010 petitions the Town Assessor to-request recertification .of these values
' 011 by the Department. of Revenue.

WHEREAS, the residents of Royal Lane petitioned the Town of Agawam
%V5 to accept that street as a public way; and
1& WHEREAS, A public hearing held on site was conducted .following
007 receipt of the street acceptance petition; and
008 WHEREAS,, a second public hearing was held following the preparation of
009 the .street acceptance plan; .and
010 WHEREAS, The Street Acceptance Committee has provided -a favorable
011 recommendation ommrni.ng the acceptance of ibyal Lane as a public way; and
012 WHEREAS,, The acceptance of Royal Lane as a public way is in the best
013 interests of the town and its citizens; •
014 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:
015 That the Town Council'of the Town of Agawam adopt the order that
016 Royal Lane,, so called a way in Agawam,, County ;of Hampden,, Massachusetts,
017 be laid out and accepted as a public way from Royal Street-Boutherly; .under
018 the provisions of law authorizing the same,, and also that the grade therein
019 be laid out and established.
020 Said layout of Royal Lane shall be generally forty (40) feet in width
021 from Station 0+00.00 to -Station 5+00.05,, a distance of .095 mile and fifty
022 (50) feet in width from Station 5+00.05 to Station 11+58.09,, .a distance of
023 0.125 mile.
024 The said way is bounded as follows:

k 058 That pursuant to and by virtue of the provisions of Massachusetts General
059 Laws,, the land included within the boundaries as .above described for the pur
060 pose of a public highway shall be accepted and possession thereof taken by the
061 Town Manager on behalf of the inhabitants of the Town of Agawam.
C062 That appropriate street monuments shall be placed upon the lines above
063 described and at all terminal points of radii.

130 That to the owner of Area #3 as described herein (supposed to belong to
131 Williston v Griffin) there be awarded damages sustained in property by reason
132 of taking said area the sum of $100.00
133 That immediately after the rights to damage become vested the Town Clerk
134 in the name and behalf of the Town Council shall give notice to every person
135 entitled thereto according to the provisions of Chapter 79,,

136 That said land shall be acepted and pocession thereof taken by the Town
137 Manager in behalf of the inhabitants of the Town of Agawam.
138 That within thirty (30) days of the. adoption of this ORDER a copy hereof,,
139 certified by the Town Clerk together with the afore mentioned Plan shall be
140 recorded in the Registry of Deeds of the County of Hampden,, said Plan_ being
