and 006 WHEREAS, a public hearing held on site was conducted following 007 receipt of the street acceptance petition; and 008 WHEREAS, A second public hearing was held following the preparation of 009 the street acceptance plan; and 010 WHEREAS, the Street Acceptance Comittee has provided a favorable 01I recomendation concerning the acceptance of Royal Lane as a public wry; and 012 WHEREAS, The acceptance of Royal Lane as a public way is in the best 013 interests of the Town and its citizens 0I4 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: 1 015 That the Town Council of the Town of Agawam adopt the Order that 016 Royal Lane, so called a way in Agawam, County of Hampden, Massachusetts, 017 be Iaid out and accepted as a public way from Royal Street Southerly, under 018 the provisions of law authorizing the same, and also that the grade therein 019 be laid out and established. 020 Said layout of Royal Lane shall be generally forty (40) feet in width . 021 from station 0+00.00 to station 5+00.05, a distance of .095 mile and fifty 022 (50) feet in width from station 5+00.05 to station 11+58.09, a distance of 023 0.125 mile. 024 The said way is bounded as follows: 025 ROYAL LANE 026 Beginning at a concrete bound in the westerly sideline of Royal Street at 027 its intersection with Royal Lane; said Plan entitled: 052 TOM OF AGAWAM 053 M9SSACHUSETTS 054 DEPARIWM OF PUBLIC WORKS 055 ROYAL LANE 056 ACCEPTANCE PLAN 057 Scale: 1" = 401 Date: September 30, 1986 058 That pursuant to and by virtue of the provisions of Massachusetts General 059 Laws, that land included within the boundaries as above described for the purpose 0 of a public highway shall be accepted and possession thereof taken by the 1 Toun Manager on behalf of the inhabitants of the Toun of Agawam. 062 That appropriate street monuments shall be placed upon the lines above 1063 described and at all terminal points of radii. 064 That the roadway within said way shall be graded and paved with bituminous 065 concrete or some equally suitable material. 1066 Be it Furtheremore Resolved: 67 That the Toun Council of the Toun of Agawam order underthe authority of 068 Chapter 79 of the General Laws, and of all acts in addition thereto and in 069 amendment thereof, and of all power and authority the Toun Council hereto 070 enabling and an appropriation of money having been duly made for the purpose by k71 a two-thirds vote of the Toun Council does hereby take the following described 72 parcels of land in the Toun of Agawam for highway purpose to wit: �73 AREA AV. 1 074 Beginning at point #5 in the above described boundary of Royal Lane: 75 Thence running N6703213111E a distance of two hundred four and sixty 76 hundredths (204.60) feet to a point; Griffin) there be awarded damages sustained in property by reason 126 of taking said area the sum of $1000.00 127 That to the owner of Area #2 as described herein (supposed to belong to 128 Williston V. Griffin) there be awarded damages sustained in property by reason 129 of taking said area the sum of $100.00 . � 130 That to the owner of Area #3 as described herein (supposed to belong to 131 Williston V.
