006 %HFJ?W, Hampden County has sizeable land holdings in the Toun of
' 007 Agawam; and,
008 MHEREAS, These parcels of land are not being utilized; and,
009 WlEREAS, The Toun of Agawam is critically in need of Open Space Areas; and,
010 WiEREAS, County property outlined below is located in key residential
' 011 locations that lack such Open, Space; and,
012 WHEREAS, County property lacks adequate facilities to develop;
' 013 NOW, THEREFORE, The Toun Council authorizes the filing of a petition to the
014 General Court as follows;
' 015 AN ACT REQUIRING THE RETURN OF CERTAIN I.AAD WITHIN THE mw OF AGAmm NOW
016 HELD BY THE COUNTY OF HAMPDEN 70 THE 70M OF AGAWAIIM.
1.7 Be it enacted by the Senate and the House of Representatives in General
18 Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
' 019 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any General or Special laws of the Gonm mveaith
020 to the contrary, the Toun of Agawam is hereby authorized to reacquire legal title
021 to the following parcels of real estate located within the boundaries of the
022 municipality, and presently standing in the name of the County of Hampden, for the
' 023 sum of $1.00 for each parcel of real estate:
024 Approximately 4.5 Acres located at School Street, Agawam, MA;
' 025 Approximately 3. 75 Acres Iocated at School Street, Agawam, MA;
' 026 Approximately .12 Acres located at 702 South %Lpstfield Street, Feeding Hills, MA;
027 Unknown number of Acres at South WLstfield Street, Feeding Hills, MA;
028 Approximately 166.120 Acres located at South Ubstfield Street, Feeding Hills, MA;
029 SECTION 2.. This Act shall take effect upon Passage. C

020 parcels of real estate located within the boundaries of the municipality, .and presently
(21 standing in the name of the County of Hampden or subdivisions thereof or agents
22 thereof, as predecessors, successors, heirs and interests in title in Agawmn for the
23 sum of $1.00 for each parcel of real estate.
[24 SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon Passage.
