Humanities held a hearing on this bill April 2 , 1991 but as of
this date has yet to report the bill out of the committee.
Please be assured that in the event that this legislation
reaches the Senate floor I will actively work towards its
passage.

A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING HOUSE BILL 4898 RELATIVE TO INSTRUCTIONAL TRUST
FUND ACCOUNTS FOR PUBLIC SCHOOLS
1 SPONSOR: COUNCILOR JOANNE H . WILLIS
IWHEREAS, There is a petition of Michael P. Walsh relative to
instructional trust fund accounts for public schools; and,
WHEREAS, This bill will be heard before the Committee on
Education, Arts and the Humanities an April 2 , 1991 ; and,
WHEREAS, It is imperative to establish our commitment to
education by developing alternative funding sources for our public
schools in light of decreased local aid; and,
WHEREAS, The amendment to section 20 of Chapter 71 of the
General Laws will enhance the educational opportunities of the children
' of this Commonwealth ;
NOW, THEREFORE , THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF AGAWAM does
hereby resolve to notify its state senator and state representative
that it strongly supports the adoption of the aforementioned
legislation .
