TR-92-43r TR-92-- 43 A RESOLUTION HONORING THE ANNE SULLIVAN MEMORIAL COMMITTEE ' SPONSOR: COUNCIL PRESIDENT JOANNE H. WILLIS ' WHEREAS, The Anne Sullivan Memorial Committee has dedicated itself tirelessly and selflessly over the last four years to raise funds necessary to purchase a sculpture of Anne Sullivan and Helen ' Keller; and WHEREAS, The Anne Sullivan Memorial Committee remained committed ' to this project despite adverse economic conditions; and WHEREAS, On June 28, 1992 , the committee's dream became a reality upon the unveiling and dedication of "WATER" , the memorial statue by noted sculptor Miko Kaufman; and WHEREAS, This sculpture stands as a beacon of hope and perseverance to teachers and students alike; and WHEREAS, This sculpture provides a memorial befitting Agawam's ' historical heritage; NOW, THEREFORE, THE --AGAWAM TOWN COUNCIL•••does hereby resoWe to recognize the efforts of this dedicated group of citizens and to note its appreciation of the Anne Sullivan Memorial Committee; Marilyn Curry, Chairman; Rosalie Walsh, Clerk; Richard Bellico, Treasurer; Ann Marie Bellico; Robert A. ainnenkade; David Cecchi ; Frank E.
