A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT LAND AND
EASEMENTS NEEDED FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE LISWELL HILL
WATER PUMPING STATION AND DISTRIBUTION PIPING. �

WHEREAS , the Town Council has appropriated monies for
design and construction of the Liswell Hill Water Pumping Sq
tion; and
WHEREAS , the Towns Council has authorized the Agawam Dep t=
meat of Public Works to proceed with the design and construc on
of the Liswell Hill Water Pumping Station; and tV
WHEREAS , the Town Council has adopted an Order of Public
Notice for the pending assessment of the cost of the Liswell Hill
Water Pumping Station Project to the project serviced area; and
WHEREAS , land and easements are required for the construc-
tion of the Liswell Hill Water Pumping Station and associated
' piping;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Town Council of the Town of Agawam
hereby resolves to authorize the Mayor to accept the land and
water line easements as said land and easements are bounded and
described in Exhibit A which is entitled "Town of Agawam, Land
and Easements for Liswell Hill Water Booster Pump Station" and
' which Exhibit A is attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference.

Valley View Associates, Inc. , a corporation duly estab i ed u e
the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and having its usual place
of business at 569 Springfield Street, Feeding Hills, Hampden County,
Massachusetts, in consideration of one and 00/100 ($1.00) dollar grants to
the Town of Agawam, a municipal corporation located in the County of
' Hampden with its principal office at 36 Main Street in said Agawam,
Massachusetts the following described easements located in Agawam, Hampden
County, Massachusetts for public purpose to wit;
Easements for the purpose of constructing, repairing and maintaining
water mains and electric lines for public convenience and health, over a
parcel of land as hereinafter described, not otherwise used for a public
purpose, said easement or right-of-way over said parcel to be an easement
to lay, operate and forever maintain a water main and electric lines and
to enter freely upon said parcel with such machinery, tools and other
apparatus as is necessary to alter, repair, renew, inspect and examine the
same and to do any and all other things reasonably necessary for the
construction and maintenance of said water main and to place upon said
land, materials and apparatus during such construction, maintenance,
replacement or repair.
The land within which said easements are hereby granted are the same
as shown on a plan entitled:

WHEREAS the Town of Agawam believes it is in the best inter`sts of its taxpayers
to make available such information in order to address the questions and concerns of
taxpayers regarding the tax billing and appeals process;
' NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town of Agawam shall make available
to taxpayers written information regarding the tax billing, abatement, and appeals
* procedures and taxpayers receiving such information shall sign or initial such
' documentation as necessary to verify compliance by the Town of Agawrt►rt.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that tax bills in the future shall continue to comply
** with Department of Revenue guidelines and shall contain a breakdown of the
