TR-93-23 -- /IM3 a c- • ej,�, _ GpQ.n000.cL 47jq 3 TR-93 23 CO- -�n.�. .a / U C A Resolution Authorizing a Loan Order in the Amount of $1, 100,000 for the Acquisition of property known as Tuckahoe Turf ' Farm, located along Pine Street and South West Street, containing approximately 292 Acres, identified as Parcels D5-1-1 and C7-2-4, and further described in two deeds recorded in the Hampden County ' Registry of Deeds at Book 5574, Page 220; and Book 5364 , Page 135, Feeding Hills/Agawam, Hampden County, Massachusetts. WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Town of Agawam to ' preserve open space, to provide for passive and active recreation, to assist the state in the expeditious completion of the Route 57 expansion and to provide for future expansion of municipal ' facilities, including but not limited to school facilities; and WHEREAS, The 1986 "Open Space and Recreation Plan" has ' recommended the acquisition of the Tuckahoe Turf Farm to be used for both passive and active recreation; and WHEREAS, It is desirable that the Town of Agawam acquire said property now; and NOW THEREFORE, THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF AGAWAM hereby 1 resolves to authorize the following: That One Million One Hundred Thousand ($1, 100, 000. 00) 1 Dollars is hereby appropriated for the acquisition of the land with buildings thereon known as Tuckahoe Turf Farm, Located along Pine Street and South West Street, containing approximately 292 Acres, identified as Parcels D5-1-1 and C7-2-4, and further described in ' two deeds recorded in the Hampden County Registry of Deeds at Book 5574, Page 220; and Book 5364 , Page 135 in Feeding Hills/Agawam, Hampden County, Massachusetts, for the municpal purposes to ' preserve open space, to provide for passive and active recreation, to assist the state in the expeditious completion of the Route 57 expansion, to provide for future expansion of municipal facilities, 1 including but not limited to school facilities and other municipal purposes.
