Resolution Authorizing the Conservation Commission to
Submit Grant Applications to the Department ofEnvironmental Management:,,. 0
Funding for an Irrigation System for
The Agawam Country Club,Agawam,MA
WHEREAS, The Town of Agawam has received information concerning the availibili�
of grant funds through the Department of Environmental Management, Division of Conservation
Services, for the development of recreation facilities; and
' WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the citizens and Agawam to submit grant
applications to the Department of Environmental Management,Division of Conservation
Services, for the Land and Water Conservation Fund Program and the Urban Self-Help Program,
and
WHEREAS, The Town would be eligible to receive up to 50%reimbursement for
development of recreation land under the Land& Water Conservation Fund Program and up to
66%reimbursement for development of recreation land under the Urban Self-Help Program; and
THEREFORE, The Council moves to authorize the Conservation Commission to apply
for the Land&Water Conservation Fund Program and the Urban Self-Help Program as
delineated above.
