I hate to be a stickler- but I'd like the original language and format. I need the "and" after each "whereas" clause, and
the Now Therefores as they were,
I actually spent a lot of time getting it as I had it - I also had a real-life Shriner put it into the correct final format.
I want the font large and bold as I had it.
I attached my original for-mat again. Please keep it in that format and language
Thanks

No biggee but since you are re-reading it looking for them—in the title Massachusetts is spelled wrong and in the fifth
whereas right before the now therefore, hospitals is also misspelled. Hahahahaha
So I will add the "per order" towards the end...and the wording at the end is different where Gina's signature is and Chris
signature is but I will leave it as you want it.

Sorry! This is just a lot different from any of the resolutions we do here. There's a format used and this is different from
the ones I've seen. Thought we should have some uniformality in our resolutions. There also isn't any"Per order of the
Agawam City Council"and so forth. Those were mainly the things I fixed, and I also made it fit on one page which is
preferred if possible but I will change it back to look exactly like your original. Do you want me to at least fix the typos?

Subject: Memo to Jack Stone
Hi Barb:
Please send the following Memo to Jack Stone, DPW Superintendent
From: Cecilia P. Calabrese, City Council Vice President
Re: Federal Funding for Sewer Expansion Project
Date: today
cc: The City Council
The Mayor
Laurel Pl.
Dear Mr. Stone:
Last week, several Town Officials attending the Workshop hosted by Rep. Richard Neal in Southbridge. As you may
know, I was among them, During the workshop, it was highlighted that projects, such as our own sewer expansion
project, qualifies for funding under the new Stimulus package. However, we must submit our Project as soon as
possible in order to be considered.
Upon checking the state web site regarding project applications already pending funding under this program, I did not
see our sewer expansion project.
Please let the City Council know if Agawam has, actually submitted the sewer expansion project for federal funding. If
not' please let us know what the delay is. Finally, please advise the Council when you expect an application to be made
for funding under the Stimulus Program. Kindly provide the Council with a copy of said application..
Representative Neal let us know that this is an unprecedented opportunity to tap into federal dollars specifically made
available for this type of project. By my reckoning, we clearly qualify, but if we do not act with all haste in submitting
the application, we will miss the boat, and another one most likely will not be coming along again in the near future.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Respectfully submitted,
Cecilia P. Calabrese, City Council Vice President

Hello-hope the kids are enjoying their week off school, Barb.
The attached is a Resolution I drafted up that I would like put under New Business for the May 4th meeting, so that we
can vote on it May 1 8th.
A group of Shriners want to come speak in favor of this Resolution the night we discuss and take the vote on it. They
are commited to keeping the Shriners Hospital open in Springfield.
This is our way of supporting that effort.
Thanks! Cece
