TR-2009-22 RULES AND REGS NUMBER OF READINGS -gaps � 1 TR-2009-22 A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE AGAWAM CITY COUNCIL (Sponsored by Councilor Donald M.Rheault) WHEREAS, the Agawam City Council's Rules and Regulations do not presently address the number of readings required for passage of agenda items; WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Agawam that the Agawam City Council's Rules' and Regulations address the number of readings required for passage of agenda items; and NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Agawam City Council hereby establishes that, except as otherwise provided by the Agawam Home Rule Charter or the Massachusetts General Laws as amended from time to-time, a mAximum of two (2) readings are required to adopt any ordinance and any other item of agenda requires only one (1) reading.
