A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COMMUNITY PRESERVATION COMMITTEE TO SPEND$23,992,79 FOR
THE BORGATTI FIELD RENOVATIONS
(Sponsored By: Community Preservation Committee)
WHEREAS, the voters of Agawam chose to form a Community Preservation Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Committee has recommended that $23,992.79 should be expended for renovations of
Borgatti field consisting of removal of the dilapidated bathroom building and replacement with a larger
ADA compliant building which will house restroorns, storage and concessions and connection to an
existing irrigation system to add irrigation to the outfield grass area on both field; and
WHEREAS,the funds will be appropriated as follows:$23,992.79 from the CPA Open Space Fund.
WHEREAS, a Community Preservation Project Application was submitted November 19, 2012 and the
Committee has recommended the funds be appropriated for the proposed project as described in said
Application.
WHEREAS, the expenditure will provide an ADA compliant structure as well as preservation of the.grass
areas; and

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COMMUNITY PRESERVATION COMMITTEE TO SPEND$23,992.79 FOR
THE BORGATTI FIELD RENOVATIONS
(Sponsored By: Community Preservation Committee)
WHEREAS,the voters of Agawam chose to form a Community Preservation Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Committee has recommended that $23,992.79 should be expended for renovations of
Borgatti field consisting of removal of the dilapidated bathroom building and replacement with a larger
ADA compliant building which will house restrooms, storage and concessions and connection to an
existing irrigation system to add irrigation to the outfield grass area on both field; and
WHEREAS, the funds will be appropriated as follows: $23,992.79 from the CPA Open Space Fund.
WHEREAS, a Community Preservation Project Application was submitted November 19, 2012 and the
Committee has recommended the funds be appropriated for the proposed project as described in said
Application.
WHEREAS, the expenditure will provide an ADA compliant structure as well as preservation of the grass
areas; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE AGAWAM CITY COUNCIL that the Community Preservation
Committee is authorized to expend up to $23,992.79 from Open Space Funds for the Community
Preservation Project entitled "Borgatti Field Renovations" in accordance with Massachusetts General
Law 44B,Section 2.
