Cohen) C) C__ WHEREAS, authorizing the acceptance of interests in land necessary to allow fdr1he ", construction maintenance and improvements for the Connecticut River Walk Loop; and; rn WHERE AS, easements, both temporary and permanent, along School and River Sqeetic, �36 are necessary for the appropriate location and construction of the Connecticut River Walk IDol3j; and-, r9 r-3 rn WHEREAS, said easements constitute an interest in real estate; and co WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Town of Agawam to accept the donations of temporary and permanent easements, described herein and further in Exhibits 1-36, graciously donated by certain citizens of Agawam- and; WHEREAS, both the temporary and permanent easements described herein below and further in Exhibits 1-34 are: a. Exhibit I donation of a 448 square foot area on property at 152 School Street, Agawam, Massachusetts shown in Hampden County Registry of Deeds Book# 7 7 10, Page# 492, i, It is the intention to accept the donation of a temporary casement in this property, designated as TE-6 and which is said to be owned and donated by Raymond S. & Mary T. Laborde. Temporary Easement shall be in effect for a period of no more than three years from the date of recording. b. Exhibit 2 donation of a 426 square foot area on property at 156 School Street, Agawam, Massachusetts shown in Hampden County Registry of Deeds Book# 16219, Page# 568, i. It is the intention to accept the donation of a temporary easement in this property, designated as TE-7 and which is said to be owned and donated by Marilyn Gabel. Temporary Easement shall be in effect for a period of no more than three years from the date of recording. c. The Town has been working with the engineering firm, Fuss & O'Neill who have prepared the construction plans and the bid specifications for this project. It is the Town's responsibility to obtain the necessary construction and permanent easements along School Street. All affected property owners have been contacted and of the 67 easements, 36 have been donated. Appraisals of the remainder of the easements have been completed.
