A RESOLUTION TO AMEND RULE 4 OF THE
RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE AGAWAM CITY COUNCIL

WHEREAS, the Agawam City Council desires to clarify the duties and respoi aibilit'c
of the Council President as contained in the Rules and Regulations of the Agawam City�u n
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Town of Agawam to clarify the domes
responsibilities of the Council President; and D v
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Agawam City CounciQereb!F
amends Paragraph (1) of Rule 4 of the Rules and Regulations of the Agawam City Council tr
read as follows:
"(1) The President shall be classified as the Department Head of the Legislative'Branch and is
responsible for any and all administrative duties and responsibilities with respect to the City
Council and its personnel. Those administrative duties and responsibilities shall include the
approval of all payroll warrants, and the approval of accounts payable warrants and requests for
payment in amounts less than $200. Any accounts payable warrant or request for payment in
excess of$200 shall require approval by vote the Council."
