Dear Mayor Cohen,
My name is Tricia O'Grady-Howard and I would like to request to be part of the Planning Board
Committee for the Town of Agawam. As a resident of Agawam for 14 years, I am very interested in'the
growth and development of our town. With the near completion of my degree in Landscape Architecture from
the University of Massachusetts' Department of Landscape Architecture and Regional Planning (expected,
May 2014), I have acquired skills in city planning and city sustainability especially in the areas of Smart
Growth and Low Impact Development (LID). I think these skills could be of use to the Planning Board.
Please consider me for this position. I am very willing and able to assist in research (etc.) to help discover the
best solutions for many of Agawam's diverse issues. Thanks for your time and I look forward to speaking with
you.
Best Regards,
Tricia O'Grady-Howard
