A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE POSTING OF THE WARRANT FOR THE
STATE PRIMARY ELECTION ON SEPTEMBER 8,2016 AND THE STATE ELECTION
ON NOVEMBER 8,2016
WHEREAS, approval has been requested by the City Clerk for posting of the warrant for
the State Primary Election on September 8,2016 and the State Election on November 8, 2016 by
the Board of Registrars; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Town of Agawam to properly post said
warrant election for said elections;
NOW THEREFORE, THE AGAWAM CITY COUNCIL hereby resolves that
authorization is given for posting of the Warrant for the State Primary Election on September 8,
2016 and the State Election on November 8, 2016.

RE: Electrical Optical Scanning Vote Tabulators
On June 1, 2016 the Town received and opened proposals for Voting Machines. After reviewing the
proposals LHS Associates has been determined to be the most advantageous proposer.
Vince and I recommend that the Town enter into a contract with LHS Associates contingent on funding
and approval of the machines by the City Council. Attached is the award letter for your review and
signature.
