We recently finished reviewing the submitted storm drain calculations for the
above mentioned subject and we approve them under the following conditions:
1.) The area east of the parking lot and north of the northern most proposed building
must be seeded up to the edge of riverfront area to create an overall lower Curve
Number.
2.) This edge of the riverfront area should be staked out to ensure that the correct
amount of area is being seeded and that no construction is taking place within the
area.
The remaining comments from our memo sent to you on September 3, 1998 have
been addressed. if you have any comments or questions, please do not hesitate to
contact our division.

Per your request dated August 7, 1998 we have reviewed the above mentioned
subject" Proposed Site Plan,Agawam, MA, by D.L. Beau, Inc., for Charles A.'Calabrese,
dated August 9, 1998, revised September 2, 1998, scale 1" = 30' " and have the
following comments:
I) A Storm Drain Permit will be required by the Public Works Department..
Depending on the point of discharge of the stormwater run-off, there is ,a; r
possibility that a Notice of Intent will be required for this site. At this time our
j office is reviewing the submitted storm drain calculations.
2.) After questioning if there is to be any exterior lighting/ and or sign location it is
apparent that the developer intends not to have exterior lighting or sign location.
3.) There is a WMECO easement that runs through this property, it should be shown
op the plan.
4.) A curb cut permit will be required by the Department of Public Works. Walnut
Street will be reconstructed in the near future, the elevation in the area where the
proposed driveway will meet the existing pavement might be at a different
elevation. The designer should contact our division so that provisions may be
made for driveway construction and grading, prior to driveway placement.
5.) The water services for the proposed buildings shall be according to town
specifications.
6.) In keeping with Town policy, a S' sidewalk should be shown parallel to Walnut
Street, running the entire length of the property (southern limit to northern
limit).
7.) The location of the two proposed rip-rap drainage outlets will be constructed on
fill. It is a concern that erosion of this fill will take place over a period of time.
Depending on the location of any stormwater attenuation, the rip-rap should at
least extend to the bottom of the proposed slope so that the fill will be protected
and erosion will be less of a concern.
