Description of Site: Proposed site of addition to the rear of the existing building is a
gravel parking lot and grass.
Provision for Traffic Flow: Unchanged.
Parking: Addition of 23 new parking spaces (2 handicapped). The Parking
Guidelines recommend one (1) parking space for each four persons for whom seating
is provided in the main auditorium. Using the guidelines at least 32 parking spaces
should be provided. Forty-three are shown on the plan. It should be noted on the plan
whether the new parking area is paved.
Drainage: The drainage must be approved by the DPW.
Public Utilities: Unchanged.
Landscaping/Screening and Buffers: A planting plan showing species, size and
location must be submitted. The following landscape must also be placed on the plan:
"Ali plantings must be maintained and that portion of the public way abutting the parcel
and including the treebelt shall be maintained in a safe and attractive condition by the
owner of the parcel."

May 4, 2000, scale 1" = 20'. " We have the following comments :
1. Existing and proposed topography should be submitted for this site plan. The existing
topography should extend onto adjacent properties.
2. A Storm Drain Permit will be required by the Department of Public Works. The proposed
addition, sidewalk and parking area will create an additional +1- 10,500 s.f. of impervious
area. Drainage calculations should be submitted for both pre and post construction
conditions for 2 year, 10 year, and 100 year storms. Detention (with positive outflow)will
be required for any increase in run-off. This new design may or may not change the basis
upon which Planning Board approval is given.
3. A detail should be provided for the proposed handicap ramp.
4. A survey plan should be referenced for this site plan.
5. Existing and proposed roof leaders should be included on the plan.
The applicant's Architect informed our division that comments 3, 4, and 5 will be
addressed for tonight's meeting. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact this

Per your request dated April 10, 2000 we have reviewed the site plan entitled, " Site Plan,
Faith Bible Church, 370 Shoemaker Lane, by Neffinger Architects, dated April 5, 2000, scale V
= 20'. " We have the following comments
1.) The following notes should be included on the plans:
A. " Prior to any installation of any sewer, water or drainage lines, the contractor/owner
shall contact the Town of Agawam's Engineering Division, 786-0400 x 275/284.
No piping/appurtenances will be installed or backfilled without the permission of the
division. "
B. "All plantings must be maintained and that portion of the public way abutting the
parcel and including the treebelt shall be maintained in a safe and attractive condition
by the owner of the parcel. "

5.) Trees and/or tree line should be shown on the plan.
6.) The two easternmost proposed parking spaces will not have adequate turning radii for
vehicles to exit the spaces. A turn-around area will have to extend easterly on the proposed
parking area. The proposed radii will have to be labeled.
7.) It is not obvious if the planting and ramp are existing or proposed, please add labels.
8.) If there is to be a proposed dumpster, it should be shown on the plans with a screening
fence.
9.) A survey plan should be referenced for this site plan.
10.) We suggest that the applicant consider making the proposed sidewalk 6' wide to
accomodate a potential 2' bumper overhang from the parked vehicles and still provide a
4' wide unobstructed walk way.
11.) The sanitary sewer in Shoemaker Lane is shown to be connected to the storm drain, this
should be corrected.
