At its duly called meeting held on May 5, 201.1, the Agawam Planning Board voted to
eliminate the crosswalk at the throat of the cul-de-sac on Zach's Way.
The Board's approval to eliminate the crosswalk is contingent on the condition that the
elimination of the crosswalk will not violate ADA, state or local laws and/or codes. The
Board also recognized that there is another crosswalk in close proximity to the one to be
eliminated,thus minimizing the impact on the area residents.
PIease be advised that the Board requests that, in the future, if a conflict with the
approved plan is identified that the Board be advised prior to commencing further work.
This will prevent possible costly corrective measures from having to take place.
