review and use the following information as required by municipal regulation:

• (IO)-sets of project plans prepared by VHB, with attached reference drawings
This application requests permission from the Town of Agawam to install new shade structures
within the Water Park Area. Details of the shade structures are provided as reference drawings in the
attached site plans. The project is located outside of jurisdictional area regulated by the Massachusetts
Wetland Protection Act or Rivers Act, and the structures are lower that the maximum height allowed
by zoning. .

Description of Proposed Project in connection with
Application for Site Plan Approval
Water Park Shade Structures
Six Flags New England ("Six Flags") is submitting an Application to the Town of Agawam for Site Plan
Approval issued by the Agawam Planning Board. The Applicant is requesting permission to construct shade
structures within the existing Water Park Area. The project is intended to provide an area of relief from the sun
for park patrons experiencing the Water Park. No new amusement rides or attractions are proposed as part of
th.is filing.
The attached set of site plans provide details of the proposed improvements, which are generally described as
follows:
I) Installation of foundations for the shade structure frame work
2) Erection of the shade structure frame work and exterior covering
3) Performance of minor electrical work for lighting for the shade structures
The area where the shade structures are to be constructed is previously developed. The area is also located
outside of any resource areas regulated under the Wetlands Protection Act or the Massachusetts Rivers
Protection Act. The structures are lower than the maximum structure height allowed by zoning. As such, we
anticipate the only public approval required for this project to be received from the Agawam Planning Board.
