Please give a brief description of the proposed project: uVeJ • The Agawam Dog Park is planned to be constructed at Shea Field. The construction will take place in the woods on the north side of the access road that connects Robinson Park Elementary School and the Shea Field parking lot. The park will be divided into two separate areas for small dogs and large dogs with play and exercise elements incorporated into both areas. There will also be a small pavilion in the park, paved walking areas, picnic tables, and benches for dog owners. Once this plan is approved by the Planning Board it will be sent to the Stanton Foundation for approval. The Stanton Foundation is the main source of income for the project providing 90% of the funding. We will then have Berkshire Design prepare construction drawings and prepare bid documents. A contractor will be chosen and construction should take place late this summer. • • Town of Agawam 36 Main Street Agawam, Massachusetts 01001-1837 Tel. 413-786-0400 Fax 413-786-9927 MEMO TO: Engineering Dept., Police Dept., Fire Dept., ADA Committee FROM: Planning Board SUBJECT: Site Plan -Dog Park ~ Shea Field ~:..> DATE: April 10, 2014 Please be advised that the Site Plan for the proposed dog park at Shea Field is on the Planning Board's April 17'" agenda and the April 15th Team Meeting agenda.
