Westfield St., Agawam, MA Mr. Wight, Tower Engineering Solutions (TES) is the Structural Engineering firm hired by SBA Communications to perform a structural analysis on their Oak Ridge monopole. Their monopole tenant, T-Mobile requested a change to their existing equipment currently installed at the top of the tower. The resulting structural analysis confirmed that the existing antenna -mount will new to be replaced.- The top of the existing antenna mount is located at elevation 159 feet above sgrade level (AGL). The replacement mount will be installed at the same elevation with the top of the mount at 159 feet AGL. There is no tower extension required. TES hired Muti Sabre Industries to remove the existing antenna mount and replace it with the new stronger mount. T-Mobile would then re -locate their new and existing antennas to the new mount at the same elevation. The work by T-Mobile has been approved under Agawam Building Permit number 15-000712. Our subcontractor, Muti Sabre Industries has applied for a Building Permit remove and replace the existing antenna mount. They have been directed to appear before the Zoning Board of Appeals on June 271h. 1 believe there has been a misunderstanding of the scope of work for this project. Muti Sabre Industries is not increasing the height of the existing structure. They are simply replacing the antenna mount that has been <previously approved by the City at the top of the tower. TES is requesting a review of this situation to re -direct the Muti Sabre Industries Building Permit Application through your normal building permit process. An appearance before the Zoning Appeal Board should not be required under the circumstances. We are not sure where this miscommunication occurred but if it wash our_side we apologize and request your assistance.
