The Applicant is requesting permission to modify a previously developed area to improve visitor gaming experience.The project,known as the"Game Area", includes the removal of an existing amusement ride and construction of three new game attractions.The games are known as"3-paint basketball","High Striker",and"Ladder Climb''.The Ladder Climb ride is being placed on an existing concrete pad. The attached set of site plans provide details of the proposed site improvements, which are generally described as follows: 1) Removal of an existing amusement ride and associated queue-line 2) Replacement of existing pavement to accommodate two of the new game areas 3); Minor private utility revisions 4) Loam and seeding of the remaining disturbed area from the ride removal The work is proposed within a previously developed area within the limits of the park.The Planning Board has recently approved'revisions to this same area for construction of a new Food Stand,submitted as"Papa John/Cold Stone"food stand.This area is located outside of any jurisdictional areas regulated by the Massachusetts Riverfront Protection Act.This project proposes to reduce the impervious area within the project limit by 1,273 square feet.This reduced area will be landscaped to match that of the surrounding theme area. There are minimal utility revisions required as part of this project. A portion of the electrical and communications systems will need to be reworked for this project due to the removal of the existing ride. A,color graphics is provided attached to this application so the limits of the new game areas can easily be determined. As per the town's recent requirements,a duplicate submittal is being provided directly to the City Engineer for review and comment.
