Steven Draghetti - Safety Officer `f Subject: Site Plan - West Side Shade & Blind , 1443 Main Street Date: November 1, 1998 On 11-01-98 I inspected the site for the addition for West Side Shade and Blind and my findings are as follows: Roadway - The road is a paved asphalt surface with no major defects with travel lanes in a north/south direction. The travel lanes are 12 feet in width with 2 eight foot breakdown lanes on either side, giving a road width of approx. 40 feet. The road is Main street which is rte 159 and is a heavily traveled roadway. Visibility - The visibility looking northward is unobstructed for a distance of approx 4/10ths of a mile, in a southerly direction the visibility is unobstructed for slightly less than 2/10ths of a mile. Lighting - There is a street light on the southern property line to the side and another street light just north of the site on the opposite side of the street. Traffic Controls - The posted speed limit both north and south is 40 mph, however at the northern property line traveling northbound the speed limit drops to 35 mph. There is no parking posted on both sides of the street. Approx. 1/10th of a mile north of the site is an automated traffic control signal at the corner of Main Street and River Road. Sidewalks - There are no sidewalks on either side of the street. School Zones - not applicable Playgrounds - not applicable Parking - The site plans call for a total of eight parking spaces with one space designated for handicap parking. This is in conformity with the Town of Agawam Parking ordinances concerning handicap parking.
