Per your request dated May 17, 2004, I have reviewed the Site Plan entitled, "Site Plan in Agawam,
Balfour Cars 1801 Main St.."; prepared by: Anderson Associates 375 Walnut St. Ext., Agawam
Massachusetts; Scale: 1" =20% April 2004. 1 have the following comments.
I viewed the site today and observed the existing conditions which are reflected on the site plan. The
proposal does not include an increase or changes to impervious areas. Thus existing and proposed grades
are not required. The current driveway/curb cut's pavement is in a deteriorated condition. The 26 ft. width
is adequate for entering and exiting vehicles.
I recommend that the proposed parking space near the northern corner of the building be designated for
employees rather than the public, due to conflict with the concrete sidewalk during backing out from the
space. The handicapped space as shown must be a minimum of 8'wide with a level 5'wide aisle adjacent
to it.
